Are electronic signatures really that secure?
« on: August 27, 2025, 07:38:33 am »
I often sign documents digitally, but I worry about security. Can someone argue later that I didn’t actually sign it, or that it’s fake? Are e-signatures trustworthy in legal terms?

E-signatures are actually very secure when used properly. Laws like ESIGN and UETA make them equivalent to traditional handwritten signatures in most U.S. states. CoupSmart emphasizes that what matters most is intent — the signer must intend to agree. Modern platforms log timestamps, IP addresses, and device data, creating a strong audit trail. You can read more information here: https://coupsmart.com/ . Honestly, I’ve used them for freelance contracts and leases, and they’re both convenient and legally solid.
