Is digital document management worth it?
« on: September 05, 2025, 07:45:41 am »
I’ve been thinking of replacing paper archives with digital systems. But is it really worth the effort, both for efficiency and for the environment?

I had the same debate with myself. Our office had shelves full of files, and I wasn’t sure digital storage would be secure or practical. But after the transition, I can say it was absolutely worth it. We cut our paper use by almost 80%, which saved money and reduced clutter. Plus, searching for a file now takes seconds instead of hours. I learned a lot about eco-friendly document management on https://www.open-web.info/, and that gave me confidence to move forward. The bonus? Clients noticed and appreciated that we were serious about sustainability. For me, the biggest surprise was that “going digital” wasn’t just about being green — it actually made work smoother, faster, and less stressful.
